Cars have been one of the most convenient forms of transportation for over 40 years. Not only are they vehicles made for conveniently traveling, they are also works of art! If you want to show off your own unique car or come watch the different events, here’s all you need to know about the fun-filled weekend of Thursday May 16 - Sunday May 19.
Car Parade
Thursday through Saturday at 8 am there will be a parade at the Ocean City Boardwalk. Every morning the cars will process down the boardwalk for everyone to see. It will begin at North Division St and end in the Inlet parking lot. The parade commences the beginning of cruisin activities for each day.
Car Shows
Each day (besides Sunday) there will be multiple car shows, where participants will be eligible for prizes and awards. The Ocean City Convention Center and Inlet Parking lot will each hold their car show everyday from 9am-5pm.Spectators are able to come to both locations and watch all day! On Thursday from 5pm-7pm there will be an R&M Car show in the Seacrets parking lot on 49th St. Friday and Saturday at the U.S. 13 Dragway there will be the Takin’ It to the Strip Car Show from 7pm-8pm. Awards will be given out everyday of the show, with the grand finale of awards being passed out on Sunday.
Auto Vendors
Some of the nations top Auto Part names will be setting up shop at the Ocean City Inlet and Ocean City Convention Center! Advance Auto Parts, Advantage Lifts, AMSOIL, Barrett-Jackson, COMP Performance, Covercraft Car Covers, CVF Racing, Detroit Speed, Flaming River, GEICO, Grundy Insurance, Krietz Auto, Miller Welding, Mothers Polish, QA1, Ridetech, Ron Francis Wiring, Summit Racing, Sundance Vacations, TREMEC and Wissel & Walsh are the vendors who will be set up in the OC Inlet Parking Lot. At the OC Convention Center there will be Treasured Motor Services, Pioneer Pole Builders selling auto parts and much more! Inside and outside of the convention center there will be plenty more vendors selling art, jewelry, t-shirts, and plenty of other merchandise.
Car Corral
Thursday through Saturday you will be able to buy or sell your cruiser. From 9pm-5pm everyday cars will be up for sale by the owners. You can check this event out at the Ocean City Convention Center as well.
Special Guests
Did you ever watch the show Dukes of Hazzard? Well Catherine Bach, who played Daisy Duke will be here Friday and Saturday from 11am-4pm for a meet and greet! Celebrate the 40th anniversary of this amazing show with Catherine Bach at the Ocean City Convention Center! Also appearing at the Convention Center at the same time, from 11am-4pm both days, is Ryan Evans from Counting Cars. You won’t want to miss out on meeting these two renowned actors!
Thursday, May 16 Grammy Award Winner and Country Music Legend Joe Diffie is coming to the Ocean City Maryland Performing Arts Center. Jackson Dean, Winner of the Maryland Music Award for Best Songwriter and Best New Breakout Artist, will be opening for the famous country singer! You can get your tickets on Ticketmaster for the show.
