The Ocean City Maryland Boardwalk consists of 3 miles of fun, food and excitement. We have received prestigious honors for our Boardwalk, as we were ranked one of the top 10 in the United States by National Geographic. In addition the Travel Channel and USA Today gave us high accolades.

We wanted to give you the inside scoop on, so read on to find out what 10 things you must do, before leaving the Boardwalk.

Marty’s Playland

Located just one block north of the inlet, Marty’s Playland is family fun video arcade. Filled with tons of games to choose from you’ll never be bored! While closing time varies, the arcade opens at 10 am so you can beginning your day of fun filled gaming early!

Jolly Roger Amusement Park

Placed directly next to the Ocean City Pier, this amusement park offers numerous rides and games to keep you entertained all day and night. They offer rides for all ages, small or big. With a rollercoaster, ferris wheel, and the scary slingshot there’s tons of fun attractions to enjoy in this park.

Trimpers Rides

This amusement park is just a little bit more south along the boardwalk with tons of different rides and games as well. They offer different rides and games, and they are equally just as fun. Catch a ride on their front and backwards facing roller coaster, and then hit up the Aladdin’s lamp fun house with moving floors, spinning rooms, and much more. This Amusement park has the perfect mix of thrill seeking rides and rides for younger children.

Ripleys Believe it or Not

You won’t be able to miss this attraction with a ginormous Shark bursting through the top of the building. Do you like strange, shocking, and beautiful things you can’t look away from? Well that’s what Ripley’s Believe it or Not specializes in exhibits that will make you say “I can’t believe it!” From shrunken heads to crazy artwork, you really won’t believe your eyes.

Flashback Old Time Photos

An Ocean City tradition since I can remember, Flashback Old Time Photos is an amazing experience of dressing up, goofing around, and showing off your hidden inner model. They offer authentic outfits and props ranging from the 1840s to the 1930s. This experience is fun and will allow you to save a memory from your trip of a lifetime.

Bike World Boardwalk Rentals

If you’re looking for a fun way to see the sights of the boardwalk Bike World Boardwalk Rentals has plenty to offer. Located at #6 Caroline Street, this shop offers fun biking methods ranging from fun cycles, which have three wheels, to Surreys (a large bike that can seat up to six adults). This the perfect mix of adventure and fun as you ride along the boardwalk, taking in the sites!

OC Life Saving Museum

If you love history and reminiscing then head down to the South end of the Ocean City Boardwalk. There you’ll find the OC Life Saving Museum filled with stories and memorabilia of the past. Before this building was a museum it was first used as an actual life saving station back from 1891 to 1964. You will be able to indulge in the preservation, education and research of old town Ocean City.

Boardwalk Tram

The boardwalk is long! 2.45 miles to be exact. We know after a long day playing in the water you can be exhausted! But instead of catching some early Z’s, you still want to enjoy your amazing vacation. Well you can still experience the fun-filled boardwalk as the Ocean City Boardwalk tram takes you up and down the length of the whole boardwalk. It runs from 11am- Midnight daily throughout the summer. You can purchase tickets at either the North or South tram booths to ride all day long!

Ocean Gallery

This amazing building holds numerous pieces of art, ranging from all different prices. You won’t be able to miss the Ocean Gallery, because of the uniqueness of the buildings exterior. This gallery has been around for over 40 years and is a timeless Ocean City tradition. When you visit be sure to ask about the Ocean Gallery Batmobile, and maybe if you’re lucky you might get to see Pip the cutest rescue cat ever!

Thrashers Fries

Located in the breezeway of Ocean City Boardwalk pier, this delectable treat is an experience of its own. This local fresh, mouthwatering, french fry recipe tradition has been around for over 80 years! The big bucket of hand-cut fries are the perfect snack to munch on as you stroll along the boardwalk.
