To Our Valued Friends and Previous Guests: In responses to overwhelming questions regarding travel restrictions in Ocean City, we would like to make some clarifications as follows:
Q: Will the Boardwalk and Beach be open?
A: The beach and boardwalk will be open to all effective 5/9/2020. Please see the Mayor’s Declarations dates 5/4/2020
Q: Are non-residents permitted to visit?
A: The Mayor has stated “There will be no police officers patrolling for license plates. We will have officers out on foot and on bikes and even horseback encouraging the social distancing requirements still in place. We do expect people to come from surrounding areas. Frankly, that’s happening already … Voluntary compliance is what we’re looking for and most have been doing that already. We can’t control everything and we can’t be everywhere. We believe this is the right path to take at this time. We have to rely on people to make their own decisions and do the right thing and we believe most are doing that now and will continue to do so.” The Dispatch . We ask that you, however, follow any federal, state, or local laws, such are Governor Hogan’s Orders.
Q: Does the Governor’s Orders allow for hotels to remain open?
A: Yes, See the list of Maryland Essential Business List which includes Traveler Accommodations
Q: What is the Ocean City Lodging ban? Does it restricts me from renting a room.
A: As stated in the Mayor’s Declaration dated 3/31/2020, “Essential Lodgers” are permitted to rent hotel rooms. This list included many groups of people which are deemed as “Essential Lodgers”; Although the order states “Voluntary compliance is our goal” we suggest you review the list to assure your qualifications to travel.
Q: Will we have to provide any proof that we are an “Essential Lodger”?
A: Although the Declarations is stated as voluntary; The Hotel asks that you follow any applicable Ocean City Ordinances and/or Orders of its Mayor and only stay if you are an Essential Lodger. The Hotel will not ask you to provide proof that you are an Essential Lodger.
Q: How do we book our stay and what is the rate?
